If the two perspectives are separated by distinct characters or gameplay styles, all the better. I personally think it'd be less weird if we straight-up just had separate 2D levels and 3D levels rather than stages that tried to do both at once. kind of goes against the novelty of having both options? That never made sense to me. The big example is Colors where there's straight-up more 2D than 3D, and Generations weirdly has both a 2D Sonic and a 3D Sonic who will sometimes just randomly go to 2D which.

I understand why they were part of the Boost games because of how resource-heavy they were, but I wouldn't want them in an Adventure-styled game and thought they were kind of out of place in Lost World.Įither way, even if they made sense to include sometimes, the more they're used as a crutch, the less welcome they are.
